Buying Guide

Since the starting current of LED bulbs is significantly lower than that of conventional halogen bulbs, it may lead to residual current in the original vehicle circuit, and the this residual current can cause flickering.

The vehicle ECU determines bulb status by monitoring circuit resistance, which is typically lower for LED bulbs and can trigger the system to falsely indicate a “bulb fault”, resulting in a dashboard error.

Installing a decoder can usually solve this problem.

Glare can be caused by several factors, including improperly installed LED bulbs, improperly aimed headlights, aged-hazy headlight lenses, non-compliant unsafe upgrades, or a combination of all the above. A80 LED bulb sizes are designed according to OEM standards and quality tested to eliminate dangerous glare by properly installing them and focusing the light where you need it on the road, not on oncoming traffic.

If you experience glare after installing an LED bulb, it is recommended that you check the installation to ensure that the bulb is compatible with your vehicle and consult a professional to adjust the headlight alignment if necessary.

Both headlight assemblies and taillight assemblies typically contain bulbs, but if the assembly does not come with pre-installed bulbs or needs to be replaced separately, the bulb needs to be selected based on the bulb sizes supported by the assembly.

If the assembly is being replaced with an OEM part, the bulb model required is usually the same as the original. If the assembly is a retrofit assembly, a specific bulb model may be required, and you need to check the assembly manual or product information to clarify the bulb model (e.g., H1, H7, H4, etc.).

We always suggest replacing headlights in pairs, because it’s a really good idea for a couple of reasons. Typically, headlight bulbs are the same age, so when it's time to replace one, it's time to replace both. Over time, the performance or brightness of headlights decreases (light fade), so if you replace only one bulb, you're likely to end up with one bright headlight and one dimmer one which can impact your downroad visibility and your field of view while driving.

Traffic regulations require that the front end of the vehicle be illuminated in the colors of white or amber, and the rear end of the vehicle be illuminated in the colors of amber yellow or red. When choosing an LED bulb color you also need to match the color of the lens that covers the bulb.

  • If the lens is clear, use an LED color that complies with regulations (e.g., white for headlights, amber for turn signals).
  • If the lens is red (e.g., brake lights, tail lights), use red LEDs or white LEDs (which will appear red through the lens).
  • If the lens is amber, (e.g., some front turn signals, use amber LEDs or white LEDs (which will appear amber through the lens).

If you have just installed the product and find that one of the bulbs does not work there are possible reasons that the LED bulb is not securely seated into the lamp holder or the contact piece is not aligned, resulting in poor contact or bulb damage.

Here are our suggested solutions:

Reinstall the bulb by screwing the bulb fully into the lamp holder, making sure that it makes tight contact with the bottom metal contact. If the bulb is still bad, try switching positions. Test if the problem is with the bulb itself by switching the poorly lit bulb to another lamp holder in the same fixture.

If the bulb is the problem, contact customer service for replacement.

Here are some possible reasons:

1. Power Problem: LED bulbs usually need a stable power supply. If the power supply voltage is unstable or there is a short circuit problem, it may cause the LED bulb to go out suddenly. You can try to install a decoder to solve the problem.

2. Overheat protection: Some LED bulbs have overheat protection that automatically shuts off when the bulb gets too hot to prevent damage. This may be caused by the bulb being installed without good heat dissipation or the surrounding environment being too hot. It is recommended to make sure that there is enough space around the lamp to dissipate heat and avoid installing it in a confined environment. Also, reduce the usage time of continuous LED bulbs.
